Oracle Database Administrator -IT Operations

Eligibility Criteria (Education/Experience/ Certifications): Education:
Degree(s)/Major(s): Bachelor degree, preferably in Information Technology and/or Telecommunications
Work experience:
Must have a skill set of administration on Oracle RAC, Oracle Streams, Data Migrations.
Weblogic ( good to have)
Goals:
This person will have co-responsibility for day-to-day operations for an enterprise handling various Oracle Technologies. He/she should be able to find ways to make the department more productive by providing effective methods in its business operations.

Your typical day at work:
– To work with the team and to contributes to the implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices.
– Contribute to making strategy for short and long-term functional goals for the member of the dba team.
– Serve as liaison for the counterparts in Norway to ensure flawless operations of its business unit.
– Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services through improvements to each function (Database, Middleware and Reporting) as well as coordination and communication between functions.
– Drive initiatives in the team that contribute to long-term operational excellence.
– Provide consultation and take ownership on matters related to expert infrastructure projects.
– Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission -specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning.
– Improve effectiveness and efficiency of IT Support Services, through improvements, coordination and communication between support and business functions.
Play a significant role in operational excellence.
Functional Skills/Knowledge Areas:
– Exposure to Industry standard quality and audit regulations.
– Experience on working with Oracle Fusion Middleware.
– Knowledge of Replication technologies.
– In depth working experience on managing Oracle RAC, ASM, Oracle Enterprise Manager,
– Must be proficient on tuning, backup, restore, installation/upgrade and documentation.
– Must know how to handle problems quickly and efficiently along with good communication skills.
– Be ready to travel frequently.
