The Company
My Client is looking for a new Senior Accountant to join their team in the Shipping industry.
The Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will be working with a team of 6 who will be responsible for all book keeping and related tasks. The job likewise requires you to be very detail, organised and with a flair for working with numbers.
The work environment in the industry is very fast paced, thus it becomes very important that you are used to working independently under high levels of responsibility and you possess initiative.
Areas of Focus:
- Book-keeping
- Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables functions
- Reporting to the Finance Manager
- Inventory accounting, specialised in derivatives accounting
- Various administrative internal duties.
- Banking and handling Treasury
The Person
- Previously experienced from a similar position for a minimum of 5-6 years
- IT proficient – experienced in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
- High command of business English both oral and written
- Previously experienced from the shipping and/or ship agency industry for a minimum of 3-5 years
