Description
We are currently recruiting for a QAQC Engineer for our operations in Qatar.
Responsibilities
Prepare the initial Project Quality program for the initial submittal for client approval
Maintain accurate Quality records of project and company performance in relation to NCR’s IN’s, PMI, etc.
Communicate regularly with PM’s and insure that all reports generated in the QA department appertaining to the Projects are issued to them.
Carry out all Quality (QMS) inductions for all Engineering staff as required, maintaining records of their inductions
To monitor and assess the ongoing implementation of the QMS and its associated documentation i.e. Quality Manual, Quality Procedures, and Quality Work instructions, etc. Assist and advise wherever necessary in relation to the IMS implementation including the closure of NCR’s and IN’s
Provide support and guidance for all staff in relation to the execution of their duties
Conduct the QA reviews of drawings providing quality assurance oversight during the design and development stages of projects
Attend all necessary meetings as required, at project, country and regional level.
To initiate and host the Management Review Meetings, with the Country HSE Manager, ensuring that all necessary management representatives and departmental staff are invited and ensure the minutes are issued in a timely manner.
Participate actively in the continued development and improvement of the Management system
Maintain overall logs for NCR’s, Customer feedback etc.
Education and Skills
Mechanical Degree
Welding and painting inspection certification AWS/ CSWIP and NACE/BGAS.
Mechanical / Piping background.
Ability to cope with conflicting situations.
Ability to give a clear presentation.
Inspection coordination experience.
Engineering and/or inspection background.
Broad knowledge of construction, fabrication and inspection techniques.
Knowledge of management systems including ISO 9001:2008.
Knowledge of industry standards including ASME, NACE, API, ASTM etc,
