Pakistan’s technical and vocational education and training (TVET) system is confronted with numerous challenges in the area of access, quality, equity and relevance. The existing limited number of training institutes is unable to cater to the growing young population. Quality and relevance of the training itself is not up to the mark, while there is limited cooperation between the public and private sector as far as TVET policy formulation and delivery is concerned. To support the Government of Pakistan’s endeavors of reforming the TVET system under the National Skills Strategy (NSS), a five-year TVET Reform Support Programme, launched in April 2011, is being implemented with the active collaboration of public and private sector stakeholders across Pakistan.

Job Description

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES, A progressive organization is implementing an internationally funded project to support the Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector in Pakistan focusing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). The overall objective of this project is to contribute to the improvement of technical and vocational training in support of economic development and employment opportunities in Pakistan.

We are looking for competent resources for the following positions based in Peshawar:

TVET Advisor

Qualification: Bachelors in engineering/Masters in social sciences from a recognized national/foreign university with 07 years of relevant experience. Working experience of TVET sector at the same profile is highly desirable. Candidate must be able to identify demand driven trades.
