With a marvelous history of 133 years of excellence, the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore is now positioned among top ten Universities of Pakistan. Originally established as a school in 1882, it was later transformed into a College within next two decades, i.e. end of nineteenth century. Realizing the importance of livestock and poultry sectors in the economy of the county and growing need of human resource and research work in veterinary & animal sciences and allied fields in the country, this historic institution was upgraded as University in 2002. Presently, UVAS comprises of 23 departments in five faculties, three institutes, one constituent college and a school along with seven affiliated institutes at Attock, Rawalpindi, Shiekhupura, Okara, Lahore, Narowal and Sahiwal. The UVAS reflects a unique blend of glorious history and ongoing professional advancement of the modern era. The main building of the institution, that was built 100 years ago, is still considered as the symbol of historical glory while the University has now expanded to five campuses, including its City Campus Lahore, Ravi Campus Pattoki, Avian Research & Training Center at Ferozepur Road, College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences Jhang and the Para Veterinary School in Karor Lal Easin, District Layyah.

Applications are invited from the Pakistani Nationals, who are not married to a foreign national, on the prescribed form (academic) downloadable from University website (http://www.uvas.edu.pk/download/) (without bank draft) for making appointment of a Research Associate on purely contract basis at the consolidated salary package of Rs. 40,000/- PM in the PARB funded project, Department of Poultry Production, Faculty of Animal Production & Technology, UVAS, Ravi Campus, Pattoki with the following qualifications & Experience as well as other terms & conditions: | Eligibility Criteria/ Minimum Qualification & Experience | | M.Phil / Ph.D. Scholar (Poultry Production) or Master’s degree from a foreign university in the field with no 3rd division in the academic career from an HEC recognized University / Institution. |
- Applications (single set) with attested copies of testimonials, certificates, transcripts alongwith one recent attested passport size photograph required.
- Persons already employed in Government or other organizations should submit their applications through proper channel within due date. The requisite No Objection Certificate from present employer must reach in the Office of the Registrar before or on the last date for the receipt of applications failing which such applications will be treated as rejected.
- All Government employees who intend to apply for the post through proper channel shall clarify through the Heads of the attached departments that there is no pending inquiry / outstanding dues against them. Moreover, there are no adverse remarks in any of their annual confidential reports. These conditions are necessary for the grant of departmental permission certificate / No Objection Certificate (NOC).

- The candidates holding professional degrees must be recognized / registered by the relevant Council.
