Job Description
A world leader in the pharmaceutical industry is actively recruiting for Medical Director – Immunology, Hematology and Oncology to be based in Riyadh, KSA. The client has the ability and reputation for being able to attract and retain the very best talent on the market, so competition for this opportunity will be high.
Key aspects of the role include:
– Lead the Medical Department in the provision of high quality Medical and Scientific strategic input and insights and ensure successful execution of the Medical Plans to the desired outcomes and timelines.
– Provide overall accountability for Medical governance and all Medical Department activities in the country.
– Ensure that all compliance risks are mitigated by applying transparency in relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This will require the incumbent to formulate, evaluate and implement compliance initiatives in line with global compliance practices.
– Conducts educational programs and scientific / external engagement activities, and to ensure these are in line with company standards and values.
– To ensure appropriate input to the development, registration and launch of new products.
– Interacting with external stakeholders include KOL’s, and MOH officials which needs high level of interpersonal and influencing skills.
– Responsible for development and execution of Medical Affairs strategies and plans aligning with the business strategies.
Required Qualifications
To be successful you will need to meet the following:
– Medical Doctor
– 3-5 years of experience as a Medical Manager working in specialty care portfolio (Immunology, Oncology, Virology, Hematology)
– With a solid reputation for effective communications, negotiation and influencing skills
– Demonstrated strengths in developing other staff in line / matrix relationships and in attracting solid recruits from external sources.
– Up to date of emerging trends in disease management concepts, clinical development, regulatory affairs, and market needs, and their impact.
