Ali Institute of Education was established in 1992 by a distinguished family trust with the primary objective of providing effective teachers to the schools of Pakistan. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) also initially supported this endeavour.

Since 1992, the Ali Institute has grown in prestige and has developed a wider focus on improving the quality of education in Pakistan. At the Ali Institute, we believe that teachers are agents of change, able to transform education in Pakistan. To realise this vision, the Ali Institute offers programmes of study, short courses and workshops in initial teacher education and continuing professional development, consultancy and development services, promotes research, dialogue and advocacy, regularly publishes a research journal, and supports community links and outreach for the education community.

The AIE Campus has large modern classrooms, beautiful gardens, a sports field, a modern and large auditorium for events and formal functions, a well-stocked and renowned library of education, students’ lounge, a cafeteria, girls’ hostels (Perwin Hall and Mubarik Begum Hall), language lab, IT lab, AV lab, science labs and a bookshop.

Literacy Leaders (LLs)

Ali Institute of Education (AIE) is implementing “Creative Learning Project- Reading and Writing With and For Children” in private schools in Lahore, Hafizabad and Bhakkar. For carrying out the project activities, AIE is seeking suitable candidates for the position of Literacy Leaders (LLs).

Required qualifications:

Master’s degree in any discipline, but preferably in education

Fluent in written and spoken English

Candidates having very good writing skills (in English or Urdu) will be given preference

Teaching/ educational management experience will be an added advantage.

A competitive salary package is being offered. Applicants local to the districts in the project will be given preference.
