Chief Legal Officer / Legal Officer – National Tariff Commission (NTC), lslamabad

National Tariff Commission (NTC) is responsible for implementation of trade defence laws i.e. Anti-dumping Duties Ordinance 2000, Countervailing Duties Ordinance 2001 and Safeguard Measures Ordinance 2002 strictly in conformity with the WTO Agreements. NTC is seeking professionally qualified persons for the following positions to assist in the implementation of the trade defence laws.

No.	Position:	Age/Qualification/Experience/Other Requirements:
1.	Chief Legal Officer – (01)	Degree in law from a recognized foreign institution with 7 years post L. L. M. degree experience in international trade issues together with: –  Degree in law from recognized institutions in Pakistan; or  Minimum two years work experience in Pakistan preferably in international trade/commercial law.  The candidate must be below the age limit of 40 years and posses valid license to practice in High Court(s).
2.	Legal Officer – (01)	Degree in law from a recognized foreign institution together with: –  Degree in law from recognized institutions in Pakistan; or Minimum two years work experience in Pakistan preferably in international trade/commercial law.  The candidate must be within the age limit of 30 years.

i. Positions are based in Islamabad and are on contract basis initially for a period of one year and extendable for another year on performance evaluation basis. Selected candidates will be offered lump sum salary approved by the government.

ii. Interested Pakistani nationals meeting the above mentioned eligibility conditions for the positions should send their applications on plain paper. Copy of latest CV, CNIC, recent passport size photograph, attested photocopies of all relevant educational/experience certificates and samples of research work, if any, must be attached. Copies of all the requisite educational degrees/certificates must be verifiable by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.

iv. Unsigned / Incomplete applications or applications received after due date will not be considered and no intimation will be given.

v. Only short listed candidates meeting the above eligibility conditions will be called for test / interview.

vi. The department has the right to short-list / reject any or all applications without assigning any reason.

vii. No TA/DA is admissible for appearing in test/interview.
